“The home should be the treasure chest of living”
Just as it is important to improve the lives of those living in extreme poverty, it is also important to help mold the future of our own local community. Our mantra is that everyone has a story, and we want to listen. We recognize that within our local area, there are good, hardworking people living in substandard housing. Many have families and children to support and though they are doing the best that they can, they are unable to change their housing situation.
Habitat for Humanity is an excellent organization that provides a much-needed service to those in need. A Home. Imagine how different your childhood would have been had you, instead of growing up with a room of your own in a house of your own, you spent your days cramped into a tiny room with your parents and siblings, or living in a vehicle, or in a home filled with asbestos or other dangerous toxins or vermin.
We’ve all heard the much-used saying that says “Home is where the heart is” but when it comes down to it, this is fundamentally true. In an effort to keep happy hearts and bright futures in our local community, we fully support Habitat for Humanity and enjoy volunteering with this organization. Join us! There’s always a need for volunteers! If you are interested in helping out, please contact us.
